As the central fundraising and planning organization of our Jewish community, THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore assists the needy and distressed while building the foundation for a vibrant Jewish tomorrow. THE ASSOCIATED funds more than 13 agencies, programs and overseas partners, providing a safety net of services to Jews in Baltimore, Israel and throughout the world.

The efforts of every lay leader, donor and professional have helped scores of Baltimoreans face the challenges of their days – from the Great Depression two generations ago, to the efforts to free Soviet Jewry barely two decades ago, from the tumultuous economic climate of today to the brighter future we must secure for our children and grandchildren tomorrow.

Our success is predicated not merely on those with great wealth, power or influence but rather on the power of every one of us, acting in concert. Each one gift, each one volunteer, enables us to provide for those with nowhere else to turn. And as we feed our hungry, ensure dignity for the elderly, work with at-risk teens and coach our unemployed, we provide much-needed support to our community.

Today, THE ASSOCIATED is poised to lead our community into a promising future. By providing programs that emphasize Jewish education and identity, we build on our Jewish tradition, strengthen our people-hood and aim to meet the challenges of modern American life.

THE ASSOCIATED continues to provide resources and guidance to those affected by continuing market imbalance and as a community, we ensure our most vulnerable are never forgotten. We benefit from our connections to the global Jewish family and work to strengthen our partnerships with our sister cities Ashkelon, in Israel, and Odessa, in the FSU.

Opportunities for involvement, engagement and philanthropy are available for everyone: young families and empty nesters, teens and elderly citizens regardless of religious denomination and affiliation.
